Most influential in my artwork is my love for color. I enjoy vivid saturated colors and approach my work with color as a priority. Color instantly gives me direction in which to take my work, and I allow it to lead me through the process.

 I constantly experiment with new ways to lay color down, but oil seems to speak to me most. The juicy pigment brings me great joy!

 I am attracted to subject matter which emits a spirit of its own; whether it be nature, the human form or an object. This spirit brings such excitement to itself and in turn excites me to want to paint or design it in a way that sometimes feels uncontrollable. It usuallly hits me at such a deep level that I become obsessed about each painting or design until it is complete. Kind of like reading a great book that is hard to put down. While I am working on a particular painting or design, I often dream about and wake up with direction about where to go next.

 As long as this urge is in me, I can not stop painting or designing. So far, it has been in me my entire life!
